Calorie Blocking foods

Certain foods make you eat less which will block calories.  Some calorie blocking foods include Fish, potatoes, all bran cereal, cheese, eggs, whole wheat bread.  These foods keep you fuller longer so that you actually eat less.

Foods that Satify hunger

Choose foods with satiety factor like high fiber foods like whole wheat breads and whole wheat pasta. Eat fruit with your high satiety breakfast for longer lasting fullness.  Try your own egg MC muffin.  Use Thomas English muffin with egg or egg whites and small piece of cheese and Canadian bacon for a satisfying breakfast with an orange. Stop when you are no longer hungry any more.

Can't stop eating

f you are finding it hard to lose weight, it may be some of the foods you are eating and no movement in your daily routine. If you are on a diet and find that you just can't stick to it, it maybe because diets don't work.  They are set up for you to fail because you are denying your natural way of eating.  Your body is designed in such a way, it usually lets you know exactly what to do wither it is telling you to go to the bathroom and eliminate or wither it is telling you I'm hungry and its time to eat.  The diet world has said eat 3,4,5 times a day so you won't get hungry but hunger is our natural way of saying its time to eat. If you are hungry that many times a day you should eat small portions but only if you're truly hungry.  Take the toddler who follows you for food but only really wants a few bites then runs away with his mind on something else in the room.  How many times have you seen that toddler come up to you while you were eating and looks closely at you plate with wanting eyes.  After a taste or two he runs away like hes being chased laughing.  If that same toddler tasted the food on your plate and does not like it, he spits it out immediately and lets you know he does not want any more.

How will I lose 100 pounds?

Today is all I have.  I keep thinking one day I will lose 100 pounds.  As I sit here thinking, some day may never come and all I have is this day to start with.  I realize losing weight is just plan hard.  Exercising is what I need but its just plain hard.  I keep telling myself, just do it for the benefits of feeling and moving better.  My plan was to lose 100 pounds by July 23 which is 4 pounds per week but all that did was send my back into diet mode.  I need to throw out the scale because it has started to determine how I feel each day, if I gain I feel really bad but if I lose a pound or two, I feel great.  I do not want to diet so I will continue on this journey of eating when hungry and stopping when I am no longer hungry any more.  When will it finally click in my mind. 

Today I will just add more fruit and vegetable to my meals because my health is important but in the back of my mind I am thinking, weight loss is the real goal.

Stress Eating

When I am stress, I have recently learned to just close my eyes and try to stay alert in the moment.  This moment is all that I have. Every thing else is in the past or in the future.  At this very point  there are no problems.  The problems are in the past or future but at this very moment there is no problem.  Try it close your eyes and think of nothing.  At this very moment focus on this very point in time.   What stressed me out was I recently bounced a check where I thought I had money.  I was so upset to see the $63 charge to my account.  I called the bank and they just wouldn't help so I got really angry and almost took it out on the customer service person.  I know she had nothing to do with my stupidity but who else could I blame? She gave me a solution to pay the bill in so many words.  I felt like people usually do things my way but not this time.  .After I hung up the my stomach tossed and turned like crazy thin I thought, put meditation in motion and stop thinking about he Kentucky Fried Chicken on the table to calm my nerves.  I closed my eye and thought about the present moment and said in my mind at this point in time there is no stress . At this moment there is only a space in time.  All of a sudden a calm came over me and every thing is OK.   I did not need to use food for comfort.
